AmiBroker 4.93.0 BETA released

A new beta version (4.93.0) of AmiBroker has just been released.

It is available for registered users only from the members area at:

IQFeed plugin 1.8.1

A new release (v1.8.1) of IQFeed plugin is available now for download from:

CHANGES (as compared to 1.8.0):

  1. fixed problem with negative volume occuring on thinly traded symbols
  2. force backfill now actually re-backfills all quotes
  3. added 'waiting for timestamp from IQFeed' message to the startup procedure

New ODBC/SQL plugin version 1.4.0

New ODBC/SQL plugin version 1.4.0 has just been released.

Added ability to use any user-defined SQL query, which allows to use SQL views and stored procedures.

AmiBroker 4.90.5 maintenance release

A new maintenance update (4.90.5) of AmiBroker official version has just been published.

It is available to everyone in the following locations:

There are following changes and bug fixes were added as compared with 4.90.4 release:

  1. Fixed ??? characters appearing instead of non-breaking space in some AFL function reference pages
  2. Added "don't ask me again" to auto-add symbol confirmation box and corresponding preferences option in Tools->Prefs->Misc page
  3. Fixed "Send Chart By e-mail"
  4. Fixed exception when BeginValue/EndValue functions referred to non-existing data for given symbol
  5. Fixed handling of margin loan when scaling-in and margin requirement != 100
  6. Fixed problem with top pane sometimes not being able to accept dropped indicators. (FC#856)

The INSTRUCTIONS can be found after installation in the User’s Guide (press F1 from AmiBroker). Users of previous versions should read “Information for users of previous versions” section of the User’s Guide.

IMPORTANT:

  1. If you are using Windows Vista you should run FULL setup, as only full setup registers OLE automation servers on Vista.
  2. This setup already includes newest AmiQuote 1.94 so there is no need to install it separately.

  4. For those who don’t read release notes or instructions - you should really read them, but in case you ‘forgot’ here is one important note for you:

There are following changes and bug fixes were added as compared with 4.90.3 release:

  1. PointValue is now automatically set to 1 if FuturesMode is NOT enabled for given backtest (pre-4.90 behaviour)
  2. Fixed crash @040ecde occuring when user incorrectly specifed NULL as a plot color (FC#: 848)
  3. Fixed problem with data tips non displaying under some rare circumstances(FC#: 844)
  4. Fixed problem with loading layout that referenced non-existing symbol
  5. Max Title len increased to 9K characters (FC#: 534)
  6. Changes made to color/Thickness/Style of LOCKED studies is saved now even if position did not change (FC#: 846)
  7. Ticker bar now only needs pressing ESC once to lose focus (FC#: 842)

IQFeed plugin 1.8.0

A new release (v1.8.0) of IQFeed plugin is available now for download from:

CHANGES (as compared to 1.7.0):

  1. updated to support new IQFeed API 4.2.0.7 (download here)
  2. support for long intraday backfills (8+ months)
  3. shutdown / reconnect procedure clears internal data cache now

  5. some other minor improvements
