{"id":709,"date":"2014-11-12T14:45:16","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T19:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/kb\/?p=709"},"modified":"2014-12-03T07:56:58","modified_gmt":"2014-12-03T12:56:58","slug":"how-to-configure-alerts-to-work-with-ssl-e-mail-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/wordpress\/kb\/2014\/11\/12\/how-to-configure-alerts-to-work-with-ssl-e-mail-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"How to configure alerts to work with SSL e-mail accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to send e-mail alerts to accounts requiring SSL (secure socket layer) connection you need to follow these steps:<\/p><ol><li>Download and run SSL add-on from: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/bin\/SSLAddOn.exe\" title=\"SSLAddOn\">http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/bin\/SSLAddOn.exe<\/a>.<br \/><em>Extra steps for 64-bit installs only:<\/em> By default <strong>EMailerSSL.exe<\/strong> program is installed into AmiBroker 32-bit installation folder &#8211;  but it is also possible to use it with 64-bit version of AmiBroker with some additional steps:<\/p><ol type='a'><li>Create C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AmiBroker folder (if 32-bit version of AB is not installed)<li>Run <strong>SSLAddOn.exe<\/strong> from the link above<li>Copy <strong>EMailerSSL.exe<\/strong> from C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AmiBroker folder to C:\\Program Files\\AmiBroker folder<\/ol><p><\/p><li>Configure account in the <strong>Tools->Preferences->Alerts<\/strong>, for example GMail configuration looks as follows:<p><img src=\"\/\/www.amibroker.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/emailalert.png\" alt=\"Email alert configuration for GMail\" \/><\/p><li>In certain cases the e-mails may be blocked by default Gmail account settings.
